The new Powertiki 400 combines the most powerful electric outboard motor suitable for electric kontikis with the sleekest double ended shape possible.

Because of this, Powertiki designer Colin Gatland believes the powertiki is most efficient electric kontiki available.

Colin has strived to achieve a product that is durable, watertight and simple to use. One major improvement is the rotationally-moulded polyethylene kontiki hull that has been produced with maximum efficiency in mind.

Most of Colins electric kontiki fishing and testing is done on the west coast of New Zealand, which is well know for it's big surf and rough conditions.

Make sure you thouroughly check your old mainline for nicks and scuffs and that it is strong enough to do the job before connecting the Powertiki.

As above the Powertiki all you need package includes everything you need to go electric kontiki fishing except the bait. All traces are pre-tied and the mega reel is spooled with the mainline. In addition this package includes a very functional aluminum cart.

The cart features a basic fish bin set onto a lightweight aluminium frame supported by two wide wheels for pulling through the sand. It has a snug base on which to rest the Powertiki electric kontiki and a trace board that can double as a seat or a filleting bench. This is an ideal electric kontiki rig for those who don't have a 4WD vehicle and need to transport their fishing gear some distance along the beach.
