I caught it on a day when the surf was a good three to four metres, which would make launching most kon-tikis impossible.
It was no problem for the Power-Tiki, which ploughed it's way through the surf, straight and true.
The Power-Tiki took some tremendous punishment when it was slammed onto the beach at the completion of the retrieval, but upon inspection, didn't have a mark on it!
I should also mention that because of the sea condition there weren't any other fishermen of any description on the beach that day.
